But the developing countries once behind the technology are now the opportunity to connect to the rest of the world through the use of mobile phones and wireless Internet access. Telecommunications companies are diversifying in countries which are looking for in connection with growing interest in mobile phones in developing countries.

Sony Ericsson G900 Vs Nokia N96 - Which is the Multimedia King?

Multimedia is a massive selling point in modern mobile phones. Music, video, photos ... Everything goes in the direction of a mobile phone is considered the best of the best. Let's take a look at the shootout between two multimedia giants: the Nokia N96 and Sony Ericsson-G900.

Nokia N96 - N95 receives "sleekified"

Nokia Nseries with their mobile phones, have a reputation for delivering the goods. If you want a real power package multimedia experience, a Nokia Nseries mobile will deliver. The new, upcoming flagship of superlatives for this area of multimedia phones is the Nokia N96 alarmingly sexy, and crikey, it's beautiful! Let's start with the appearance because Nokia have dropped the hard edges and corners from the N95 and N96 in view of the flowing curves, corners rounded, shiny and panels. Or in other words, they have almost identical to the N81. That is not necessarily a bad thing, as the N81 was pretty nice, but it would be nice to see how a high-power handset have a design that was not recycled from older phones. Ah well.

Features-wise, but there are none on, for example, this is Nokia's most powerful mobile-to-date, packing in 5-megapixel camera, HSDPA, 16 GB of memory, GPS to masses and masses of multimedia options, including some really sweet touches like the little kickstand that Nokia, on the back of the phone, they can rely on their own, while you watch it like a TV. I have not seen that in all other mobile phones, and it is a really nice little touch of Nokia. All in all, the Nokia N96 is a rear of a powerful mobile phone.

Sony Ericsson G900 - Smartphone for the masses

But is the new Sony Ericsson G900 going to steal the thunder Nokia N96? Is it indeed a better phone?

Well, to be honest, this fight is that it goes on down to the judges. It is really really hard right to decide which of these two Juggernauts is best. The Nokia N96 is packed to the gills with function by function, after the function, but the Sony Ericsson G900 match it feature for feature (with the exception of the sheer size of Nokia's built-in memory), but it's trump card by touchscreen , And although might be superfluous, it is something that I have always said, mobile phones benefit, and that is certainly the case, as it has little to let things cool down, as you stick virtual post-it notes for Sony Ericsson Screen. As I have said before, but this is a fight that is really difficult to call because these two mobile phones are so evenly matched. In fact, I reckon that if you like Nokia, you may prefer the N96. But if you like Sony Ericsson, you'll favour of the G900. You may not be inferred very helpful, but at least it is correct!

The 8 Megapixel Camera Phone War is About to Start

Mobile phones with 5 megapixels are so 2007 ... As we towards the end of 2008, 8-megapixel phones are clearly the way forward, and with 3 separate 8-megapixel phones announced or leaked (from Samsung, Sony Ericsson and LG), the war starts right here!

Sony Ericsson C905 - the Cyber-shot candidates

Sony Ericsson grabbed the title of "first 8-megapixel phone announced, the United Kingdom", with the sliding, breathtaking C905. It took the lead, mainly because of the sheer number of pixels, but also due to the fact that, as in previous high-end Sony Ericsson camera phones equipped, it's powered by Cyber-shot technology (or how it tends to be known round here, "ooooh, the good stuff"). This means that, like the expansive pixel count, the Sony Ericsson C905 offers xenon flash, autofocus, image stabilizer, low-light modes and various other gubbins to make for a powerful camera-equipped mobile phone. It is beautiful, with sliding doors that body really looks more mouth-watering.

But it is not without competition, because now, the two major Korean manufacturers of mobile phones, LG and Samsung, have rocked to the party with their offers.

Samsung i8510 innov8 - the Smartphone child

While the Sony Ericsson C905 is powerful, it is one thing, it is definitely not, and this is a smartphone. It may be, Cyber-shot-powered, but it is still effective a normal phone with extra bits stuck together. Compare that to the i8510 innov8 Samsung, which is like a thoroughbred Smartphone, bred only for the purpose of things other phones can not. Also, as well as the 8-megapixel camera (nearly with the C905 to specifications and features), you receive the Symbian OS S60 (known made by Nokia), so it can be full of third-party software, and regardless of Samsung .

However, there is a new weapon, which has just expired within the last few days, and it looks like both could knock Sony Ericsson and Samsung for the six. It is surprisingly open LG KC910 Renoir.

LG KC910 Renoir - the iPhone-killer, Mark II

Announced just this week is a brand new mobile phone that picks up where the icon LG Viewty left off: the breathtaking, and frankly mouth-watering, KC910 Renoir, LG. The best way to describe is easy to say, it is an 8-megapixel Viewty. It is really a stunner, with sleek looks, a full touch screen interface, all the features of its predecessor, and enough charm, charisma and raw power to give any other mobile phone in the world a good kicking. Let us not forget how many units of the LG Viewty were sold in the year 2007 ... and I assume that this Bad Boy will match its success. Sony Ericsson a good chance next to her, as the two mobile phones are aimed at different market segments, but Samsung had better worry, because the big new LG after it!

Mobile Broadband: Advantages and Disadvantages

Wireless is the new child on the block that seems to size. How could it not, after all, if it offers various degrees of freedom that simply do not exist beforehand? By avoiding the mess of wires, and the portable notebooks really as portable as they should, wireless technology has found a place in the hearts of even the most computer users exhausted.

Mobile broadband is an extension of this newfound freedom. With high-speed, broadband, Internet access via a wireless portable nature through modems, phones or other custom equipment allows, once more, for more freedom. Unfortunately, this freedom also comes with drawbacks.

Two key advantages of mobile broadband --

Firstly, mobile broadband offers unprecedented levels of comfort as far as broadband Internet is concerned. All we need is the modem and Internet access is available, in theory anyway. If coverage is good enough, it would be possible to completely mobile broadband usage abroad from any computer terminal you happen over.

Secondly, the complete lack of need for a landline telephone number will provide more flexibility. Whether at home, work, or the park, a country is totally unnecessary. This represents an even less cable dangling around, and even more portability.

Two major disadvantages of mobile broadband --

First of all, but unfortunately, the range of reception for most mobile broadband networks seems to be too limited. Sometimes the poor reception is available in "pocket" here and there from the link with the broadband Internet is not possible, but at other times it may be whole areas that are simply not covered. Also worrying is the fact that, if there is a high concentration of users in a specific area of the use of mobile broadband, it can lead to a general slowdown in service.

Secondly, the bandwidth available to mobile broadband customers is usually much smaller than their conventional counterparts. Although this particular restriction would remain unnoticed for most casual users, heavy Internet users would find it to a halt to their activities. Some current mobile broadband providers on a fee per MB-use basis and at the end this can be expensive, unless the broadband is used sparingly.

Like a judgement, mobile broadband has a very high potential that can be tapped and used, but still very limited because of yet. That said, it should be noted that the same was said of wireless networks at a point in time, not so very long ago, and as such, never underestimate what tomorrow may bring.

For the casual user who values mobility and convenience of speed and consistency, mobile broadband is still a very attractive option. However, for heavy Internet users, and others who simply can not or do not want to work with the reception problems or bandwidth limitations it may be unwise to focus on this particular option only. After The Kinks which is execution, mobile broadband really come into its own as the preferred form of Internet access.

Wireless Broadband: the Next Frontier

Broadband is constantly being changed and modified to better on many fronts. Improved speed, improved comfort and improved pricing rates are the three areas, see constant activity as different technological leaps and brilliant marketing plans are changing the way our broadband.

What is wireless broadband?

As we move in a "wireless age", it seems fitting that wireless broadband is on the horizon now. A form of this kind wireless broadband mobile broadband services, uses mobile towers as access points. But this particular type of broadband is plagued by several disadvantages that serious problems for many users.

Under the umbrella of wireless broadband technologies may fall many who tried and, above all, discarded. First, the Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs), serves the rural areas who do not have ADSL coverage. Customers who earlier had said WISPs to mount a dish on the roof of their houses to get a signal that was mostly from somewhere high in the area. With the court meant that it was a constant line of sight between the court and the signal transmitter.

Since then, wireless broadband has forward by leaps and borders, but it is still not as complete as would be desirable. One of the newest and most widespread, developments is that the WiMAX or World Wide Interoperability for Microwave Access. So far this technology appears to be the most promising form of wireless broadband and is still extensively throughout Europe and some of Asia.

When can it be expected to replace ADSL?

Truth be told whether WiMAX or other wireless broadband alternatives ever replace ADSL as the ideal connection for homes and offices, remains to be seen. For all the benefits of a wireless connection would offer in terms of comfort, a certain degree of stability, reliability and safety of these connections must be established.

In addition, through the use of ADSL connections in connection with a wireless router, virtually the same influence reached on a local (within a home or office). So even if some kind of reliable wireless broadband system, would they have to offer something more than is currently the case ADSL in terms of speed and price to compete against.

Currently, there are various efforts in the development, wireless broadband as the next frontier of broadband Internet. It seems only a matter of time before at least one of these efforts is clear, and know what would. WITH recently unveiled what they claimed was a wireless power source, and uses it to power a light bulb.

Maybe in a decade or so wires itself is obsolete, and then we really in the wireless age with a wireless power supply, wireless phones, and, of course, wireless broadband Internet. Imagine the complete lack of clutter that this world would have.

Broadband - Grabbing our Attention

You know how it is when a new Hollywood blockbuster is due for release; promotional material is all around you. In fact, the sports industry also makes use of such guerrilla marketing techniques - with breweries use animated mini-games to ring in the new season, football clubs and the use of customers, broadcast up-to-the-minute match reports and the latest news from your club directly on your desktop - usually by an animated character, as the team manager or star player.

Broadband providers will also make use of such advertising techniques in order to raise awareness of their services. Previous campaigns used to receive a CD with a free trial of their services to him now, it seems cooperation with cellular phone provider in the advent of the mobile Internet. Today, these services are usually brought to our attention from TV - usually with a free gift thrown - and as more of us have access to affordable broadband primarily This advertisement can be useful for those in search for a better rate.

And as the popularity of mobile broadband increases, many users may also be subjected to advertising messages or exclusive downloadable content for an upcoming film. Many actions will advertise a number to text in a word, and in return you get a few related content - such as a game or a promotion. This type of marketing techniques have become part of the film industry, and as technology advances, white, in whatever form we might receive ads in the future?

T-mobile Wing Review

This is the T-Mobile Wing, T-Mobile follow-up to the MDA. The two devices are similar, but the Wing has a new slicker form factor and two mega-pixel camera, which is an upgrade version of recent years. This is particularly important one of the first devices to launch in the U.S. with Windows Mobile 6, the Professional Edition and to be used, Pocket PC. This only means that the T-Mobile Wing has a touch screen.

Like most of the Windows phones Tmobile Wing has tons of buttons. On the front is a D-pad with a center select button, function keys, Windows and OK buttons, and a transmission and end-key. On the right side of the phone where the camera usually there is a pen, a quick jump on the messaging center, and the voice-activation key. On the top of the phone you can find the on / off button, which used to appear on the screen as soon as it locks. On the left side of the phone you will find the camera button, which makes it very convenient for the use of the phone as a camera. You will also find the volume control and a microSD slot is hidden behind a rubber door. At the bottom of the phone, see a mini-USB port that is used to recharge, synchronize, and a headset connection.

Finally, if you slide the top piece of the phone up, the keyboard lies beneath. The nice feature of this phone, it comes on the screen when you push the screen. The T-Mobile Wing also has some new indicator lights with blue LED lights that come when the Shift key and the function key.

One of the bad things, you can hold down the T-Mobile wing with the slider is open, that you point the finger directly at the camera lens, which is unfortunately leave fingerprints on the lens. You will also find that the Home screen will be a long time to come again. One of the things that T-Mobile has with the Wing in the interest of making things easier to find, is the packaging to the Home screen full of different things. They have done this to the point where you can not touch any part of the screen without activating something. All these features also slow down the loading time of the T-Mobile Wing.

There are some new note worth features in Windows Mobile Professional. One of these is the fact that there is a Windows application and live a live search. This can be confusing way, you see would think they are basically the same thing, but they each give you access to different functions. The Windows Live application gives you access to Messenger, e-mail and Windows Live Web search. While Windows Live Search gives you access to local windows.

Windows Mobile 6 Professional Quick finally complements the function, which was on Windows Mobile Smartphone, the standard for some time. Windows Mobile 6 Professional has all Office applications, the Standard Edition. Finally, the battery life in the new T-Mobile Wing is amazing, you can assume that four days or so for a fee.

We wish the Home screen had less symbols make it easier to operate, we also wish that they have upgraded the processor in the T-Mobile Wing of the processor, located in the MDA. The processor is just too slow to run Windows Mobile 6 especially with all the extras, the T-Mobile. But other then that it had a huge improvement and a really nice phone. If you are considering purchasing a new phone, I would recommend the purchase of T-Mobile Wing.

How To Upgrade Your Existing Car Stereo

Upgradation is one of the important elements of the changes that occur over time in all the technological changes. Like the endless programs that control a computer, there are many programs that work within the car stereo.

An upgraded car stereo allows the user to experience high-quality sound. For this reason, it is generally of the view that an existing car stereo system should be upgraded to the latest technology. In this case, the transducer plays a central role. Sometimes, not all components of an existing car stereo are needed to be changed too well, as well as minor changes can be expected results.

Before you opt for the expansion of existing car-stereo system, a few basic points should keep an eye on. One of them is the resource. It is important to repair the damage budget, which means that the amount of money is willing to spend. Next to the budget, we should research to find out which brands for the pocket.

Doing one's own research is important, rather than depending on the views of friends and sales professionals. In both the opportunities are there, that they put pressure on their own brands and preferred shares without knowing exactly your requirements.

One common mistake that everyone makes during upgradation is that they yearn for speakers, the louder sound. It is always better to choose the kind of speaker is the complete satisfaction while listening to music. To achieve this, you have to listen to various speakers and the only choice.

During the upgrade the head units of an existing car stereo, 'motorized confronted' brains can the owners some headaches. Do not try to change volume or tracks, while your car is moving. One of the great things about permanent connections is that many of them you can control the iPod with the controls of the radio. This is especially useful when you turn on the radio has wheel-mounted controls. If you have a stand-alone adapter, try to position your iPod so you can see, without your eyes off the road. First impressions of the 3G iPhone

So, I have my 3G iPhone in my grubby little hands. Initial reaction is obviously one of complete overexcitement, together with a realisation of just how grubby my hands are - that shiny black back sure does pick up fingerprints.

However, there are numerous improvements that make it still the most exciting thing I've seen in a couple of months. A big one for me is that fact that you can now remove the SIM card (they even provide a little prodder). That's probably only useful for me, since I have my own O2 SIM I wanted to use in the review model. Still, it's an indication that Apple has become a lot less proprietry with this model - something that's reflected throughout.

With the dawn of third party apps, Apple seems to have said "ok, here's your basic iPhone - it's now up to the developers to make it all it can be". Amen to that, I say.

And if you're worried about availability, don't. O2 hopes that everyone who desperately needs an iPhone in the next couple of weeks will get one, and they're receiving new stock on a weekly basis. There's less positive news about the white version - this isn't available at lauch, and though O2 will be stocking it at some point, there's no indication as to when this might be (or indeed, why it's not now).

I've yet to load the phone up with apps, but it's what I'll be dedicating the next few hours to. I'm most excited about the apps that use the GPS functionality - Twitterific displays location info for Tweets so you know when your friends are in the vicinity. Genius.

Well, I'm off to play. Keep checking back - I probably won't be able to help but to give you hourly updates.

Book a BA flight with your iPhone

Now you've got your mitts on the new iPhone - tough luck to those who didn't, we hope you're not crying yourself to sleep every night - it's probably safe to say you now deserve a holiday for all that planning, strategising, late night anxiety attacks and general all-round effort. Your new device can help you out in that department.

The British Airways iPhone application allows you to access flight schedules, check departures and arrivals, and the best and most innovative point of all, you get to book your BA flights from within the realm of your iPhone too. Sounds good, but that's not all folks. According to BA, you can also save your favourite flights so you can check up on their progress and book your flight at will. The iPhone is revolutionising the mobile phone right before our very eyes by giving us instant access to flight information and allowing us to buy flights direct. BA say they're the first airline to develop an iPhone application, but it's something we could see from other airlines in the future.

Now all they need is an application that'll tell you what's happened to your luggage at terminal five and it'll be perfect. The app is free to download via the iTunes app.

The iPhone-less shouldn't be disappointed as the new BA iPhone app could find its way onto other mobile phones in the future - especially if the iPhone application takes off.

How much would you be willing to pay for the iPhone 3G?

The 3G iPhone is such a hot commodity right now that demand is sky high. Demand is *so* high, in fact, it was only a matter of time before it found its way onto eBay. As with most coveted eBay items, eager beavers are bidding in excess of $1,000 USD. That's at least $700 more than they need to pay for it! One bid actually ended on $2,325 - that's like seven and a half iPhones! The majority of the handsets are advertised as being unlocked, to work with any carrier. Buyers are also provided with a link that'll help them unlock their iPhones, if need be. It's life or death to some, and the high amount of eBay bidding going on proves just how badly people want it.

In contrast to our American friends, the UK owners seem to be holding on to their iPhones with a firm grip. There is absolutely no sign of an iPhone 3G for sale on the UK site at all.

As the iPhone is only available in 20 countries, it's more than likely a few of these bids are coming from countries where the phone won't be shipped until the end of the year. So in that respect, bidding highly is much more understandable, than say, someone who could just wait a month and pick it up then. At least if you wait, you could save some of those fifty dollar bills in the process.

When it launched on 11 July, and even before its launch, stockists were telling us they'd ran out in the US and the UK, causing many a tantrum and much disappointment. With demand set to continue, how far would you be willing to go, and more importantly how much would you be willing to pay for the most popular phone in phone history?

Rumour: Macbook Touch in the works?

When Apple made their none-too-shabby earnings announcement this week, hints were dropped that their forthcoming profit margins were affected by a forthcoming 'mystery product'. Apple zealot's ears perked up and the rumour mill has gone into overdrive as a result.

The MacBook Touch is the latest potential candidate, and it looks hawt. There's a touchscreen screen slightly smaller than a Macbook screen, multitouch, a full Mac OS, GPS and accelerometer. In fact, by the sounds of it it's going to be like a really big, better featured iPhone.

Rumour: Apple Nano to revert to old style?

If you were a fan of the older style Nano, with its longer body and curved edges, you're in luck. Rumour has it it's making a reappearance, in order to accommodate a new larger screen. There have been murmurings of a multicoloured body, but thankfully, this doesn't seem to be the case.

Slated to appear 'later in the year', this mock-up seems to take lots of cues all the way back from the iPod Mini. There's also been similarities drawn between this and the Zune.

The strobe lights are flashing... from your iPhone

A funky application has been developed, to add to the ever growing list of iPhone apps, called myLite. Transform your iPhone into a discotheque, complete with strobe lights and hold your own mini iPhone rave in your room. Failing that (because you're not a keen raver), a flashlight is always handy.

It's designed for nothing but fun, and I suppose for convenience too. No one likes bumping into things in the dark or even worse, stubbing your toe on an unseen object (ouch). The strobe lights will flash in a rainbow of colours at a time interval of your choice. The coolest thing about the app has to be its Trippin' feature, designed to continuously flash through the spectrum of colours, which won't make you feel like you've taken a cocktail of drugs, but it'll sure look pretty.

Not only does it produce a light show, the app is completely free too. Choose between fluorescent tones or incandescent lights for a more mellow vibe.

Go towards the light and transform your iPhone into a multicoloured strobe lighting system.

Rumour: Apple preparing an iPhone Nano? WOW

This one needs to be taken with a firm pinch of salt - rumour has it that Apple is preparing for the launch of an iPhone Nano, which would have less functionality, and cost in the region of £150 on PAYG. Details include the fact that it might have a scroll wheel on the back, and that the internet functionality will be limited.

The source is the always-popular 'O2 insider', who suggests that this phone would see a Christmas launch. Do we believe them? Well, producing smaller, cheaper versions of grown-up products is a strategy that's worked for Apple in the past, so it's not beyond the realms of possibility...

Project Beauty: A guide to looking pretty with the Nintendo DS - You Want?

Hands up who'd feel comfortable taking beauty tips from a piece of plastic? The counter assistants may often look quite toy-like with their orange makeup and Botoxed foreheads, but at least they're real, as opposed to a machine that analyses your face shape.

We've all heard how a symmetrical face is considered the most attractive, well now your DS will tell you just what you're lacking! You use a scanning device to upload your images, and the software categorizes you into one of four groups. You'll either be cool, active, cute or feminine, and there's no arguing with it. Next step is a makeover, and you get to see your photo superimposed with Shiseido products.

You can either opt for their service, where they'll give you a look suitable for work and dates, or choose to design your own look from their colour palette. The idea is that this game will be aimed at 20-30 year olds, who aren't generally involved in gaming. Personally, I think the main appeal will be the tween generation, as they get to dress up in face paint without their elder sisters shouting at them.

It will be $55 from Nov 27 in Japan

Microsoft announces 60GB Xbox 360, with less chance of RRoD

From 15th August, you'll be able to nab yourself an extra 40GB of storage on your Xbox, thanks to the latest Microsoft announcement. The new Xbox 360 will pack a 60GB hard drive, rather than 20GB, for the same £199 price tag.

Unannounced, but discovered by an Xbox modder, comes a decreased likelihood of the dreaded Red Ring of Death - a problem that's plagued the Xbox 360. The new models have the memory chips stored on the top of the motherboard, rather than the bottom, which was one contribution to the overheating.

Xbox LIVE is the world's leading supplier of high definition content, so a move like this will further elevate their position. More room for HD goodness = more HD goodness sold. And if you want even more, there's always the 120GB Xbox Elite.

The console will also upscale your existing DVDs, and give you one month's membership to Xbox LIVE, where you can play online multi-player games and chat with entire groups.

HTC to ship one millionth Touch Diamond this month?

We know how much those suits love to hit wild targets they set without any real understanding of the future, so we're pretty sure at least one or two are getting the kudos of their life with this one. Earlier this year, HTC boldly predicted that it would move a staggering two million Touch Diamond handsets before 2009 dawned, and according to a new report, it'll ship the one millionth unit sometime next week. With Sony Ericsson having all sorts of difficulties moving its mid- to high-end mobiles, one may wonder if HTC really can sell another million before December 31st. But we have all ideas the looming Sprint / Verizon launches will be all the help it needs to call itself a proven prophet

Nokia N85 hits FCC in two flavors: one with just a touch of North American 3G

We're still trying to figure out exactly how Nokia intends to position the N85 slider in its Nseries lineup, and frankly, the FCC documentation that's been outed for it isn't helping much. Seems there are two versions of the thing: one with no 3G -- likely for China -- and another with WCDMA on the 900, 1900, and 2100MHz frequencies. That little dose of 1900 in there will be enough to give owners partial access to 3G while out 'n about in the colonies, but by and large, the phone appears destined for Europe where 2100 (and to a lesser extent, 900) is the name of the game. Both do quadband EDGE, so at the very least, you'll be able to roam the better part of the globe and get some semblance of coverage -- just don't expect it to be particularly speedy everywhere you go. To be fair, Espoo's been getting pretty good about crafting special versions of its hottest handsets that are ripe for North American use, so we're not giving up hope just yet that there's a third version floating out there.
